Cabansail Posted October 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2015 Where are the designated smoking areas on Radiance of the Seas? All I can find is that they are on the Starboard side of the vessel, that is the same side as our cabin. Would like to see how much separation we have. Rare John&LaLa Posted October 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Pool deck, casino, maybe outside promenade. What deck are you on? Edit - you must be on 10, hopefully no one will throw butts on your balcony;) Edited October 23, 2015 by John&LaLa

I guess extensive, pretty much the entire pool deck and length of the promenade. They occasionally have no smoking a couple of nights in casino, but I'm betting you aren't much of a gambler. The solarium may be no smoking, but don't quote me. Edited October 23, 2015 by John&LaLa

Rare John&LaLa Posted October 23, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2015 Thanks. No I am not into gambling. Hope the Solarium is smoke free. It probably is. Bad part about casino is you have to walk through it to get from one end to the other.
Ashland Posted October 23, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 23, 2015 Recently off Radiance and could see (from the DL) smokers starboard side near the Sky Bar....could have had other places too...but this is where we saw them.
Hoopster95 Posted October 23, 2015 #11 Share Posted October 23, 2015 I guess extensive, pretty much the entire pool deck and length of the promenade. Nope not from what I saw 2 weeks ago... Deck 11 Smoking area extended starboard side from Windjammer entrance to approx the beginning of the pool then ended. (see deck plans on line where it says "art gallery"... that long thin area from art gallery to pool). I didn't see any ash trays after that. As Ashland said, Skybar has ashtrays so must be allowed up there, and also deck 13 just outside of Starquest doors, on the open deck between Starquest and the Rock Climbing Wall (practiced Thriller there... ashtrays on tables and several smokers watched us practice)

Ashland Posted October 23, 2015 #14 Share Posted October 23, 2015 Ash trays are portable, and I may not understand you, but can't imagine that there is no smoking by pool bar When looking from the DL towards the Sky Bar there was a metal container on the wall (starboard side) that I believe was used to deposit cigarette butts or so it seemed to me as I watched a few smokers go over to it. Aussie FF Posted October 23, 2015 #15 Share Posted October 23, 2015 If you are cruising in Australia, there is no smoking in any indoor venue, including the casino. As per the laws in Australia. One of the reasons I love cruising at home.:D

There haven't been smoke-free nights in the casino since the ban on balcony smoking. No matter - even if they did, the lingering stench will still get into your clothing.
