Leaving in 10 days for a fabelous cruise on the Serenade of the seas, it's been a long time since I sailed RCI so what has changed?

Is there still soap, shampoo or anything else in the badroom?

What about Ice in the Icebucket, is it standard or do I have to ask for ice.

Maybe some othter things that I didn't think about.

Please share it with me.

Thanks for all the information that cruise critic members cruises give me.

Greetings

Linda:)

The bathroom will have two bars of soap and a combo shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower. You have to ask for ice, but after you ask, they will fill the ice bucket twice a day without asking anymore.

What about pooltowels, do we have to swipe? If yes will I have to return them everyday to avoid costs or can I keep them in the cabin for another day?

The pool towel swiping policy varies by ship. What I've seen most is that they don't swipe on sea days, bit will swipe on port days. You can keep the towels in the stateroom as long as you return them before the end of the cruise.

*You may now bring two bottles of wine (750 ml or smaller) on board, per stateroom.

*No more paper coupon booklets, they are loaded onto your SeaPass card (a list of discounts will be in your stateroom).

*You no longer bring your life vest with you to muster.

*No more chocolates on your pillow.

*New drink packages are offered: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/experiencetypes/category.do?pagename=onboard_cat_dining_options

Enjoy the Serenade, Linda!

Is there shampoo in inside cabin?

If you are female, the answer is "no". ;)

The good news is that even though there will be no little bottle of shampoo in your inside cabin, if you ask your cabin steward nicely, s/he will probably bring you one. :)

We had a great cruise on the Serenade TA from Denmark in August. Thought the food was good. The WJ had a crepe station each morning that was excellent, not sure if that is there for all cruises or was just for Europe. This is also the first cruise where I thought the Park Café was a good choice for breakfast, on other ships I've found the breakfast sandwiches to be dry but the ones on Serenade were quite tasty!:D

I also really like the outdoor area behind WJ, it's a great place to have breakfast in the morning.

Crepes are still available daily in the WJ.
