Doggielover68 Posted February 8, 2016 #51 Share Posted February 8, 2016 It really depends on a lot of factors. It also depends on how many extras you have. We don't gamble or drink which saves a lot. Our last cruise was $3,800 total (2 people) for a back to back cruise (14 days total). This number includes: 2 pre cruise hotels, airport parking for 17 days, food before the cruise, gas, round trip airfare from DC to San Juan, cruise fare ( interior cabin), taxes, gratuities, excursions and taxi fares, and souvenirs. cmukid87 Posted February 8, 2016 #52 Share Posted February 8, 2016 I'd rather cruise more often than go all out on one cruise....so.... We'll be at $4000 for everything except excursions and other spending $ for my crew of 8 in October. That includes rental car, airfare, hotels, cruise fare, gratuities. But i am a penny pincher and find discounts for EVERYTHING.
RuthlessBoss Posted February 8, 2016 #53 Share Posted February 8, 2016 Obviously that didn't bother all the other people who have responded to the OP. Mom was right. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. What did I say that wasn't nice?
Isasprings Posted February 8, 2016 #54 Share Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) I live just 15 minutes to the POM and 30 to the PEV this means no flight no parking no taxis always our DD take us to the terminal. Last cruise on the Glory my DH and I spend total $1.100 OV cabin includes tip and tours I booked independent save a lot of $$$$. And at the end the whole cruise cost only $500.00 because we have the Carnival master card and have $600 OBC We want to cruise on the Vista in Europe but that means al lot of $$$$$$$$ lol Edited February 8, 2016 by Isasprings
golfb4cruzing Posted February 8, 2016 #55 Share Posted February 8, 2016 It all depends on the trip. Usually 3K, including driving down and all souvenirs. But our upcoming Panama Canal trip is $4500 just for the ship.

jordanaire Posted February 9, 2016 #57 Share Posted February 9, 2016 I, too, would rather cruise several times versus one big extravagant cruise. That's why our Sail & Sign bill is usually under $300 total per cruise. And $75 of that is for the steakhouse. We do not drink alcoholic beverages either. Playing bingo is not worth it to us, so we save quite a bit of money right there. As for the casino, we each spend no more that $100. When it's gone, we stay out of the casino. We have just about all of the t-shirts we'll ever need, so we stay out of the gift shops as well. Cruising, to us, is a chance to get away from work, the kids and the every day hassles that make up our lives. We don't have to spend a great deal of money to have fun.
