Bob++ Posted March 9, 2016 #102 Share Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) Is that the actual title of the book. I'm trying to find a copy. That was a short essay written by O'Brian for an American newspaper. http://www.wwnorton.com/pob/vol3ii.htm Such puddings are regularly mentioned in most of his books. If you check out Amazon you will find them all still readily available. Edited March 9, 2016 by Bob++

LondonTowner Posted March 9, 2016 #104 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Can't decide if the non recognition of those words is silly or funny. It recognises fanny packs that Americans wear and Brits would t dare mention them! Seems like discrimination to me.
Kenswing Posted March 9, 2016 #105 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Do they have any street food vendors set up anywhere near the London Eye like they do at the Greenwich Market?
SteveH2508 Posted March 9, 2016 #106 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Do they have any street food vendors set up anywhere near the London Eye like they do at the Greenwich Market? There are often street food stalls on the South Bank by the London Eye. There is also a great selection round the back of the Festival Hall. http://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/whatson/festivals-series/markets Borough Market is another place to check out. Woodwards Farm burgers are lovely (Will supplies all of our beef and it is gorgeous).

moniquet Posted March 10, 2016 #110 Share Posted March 10, 2016 There is a good food market in Picadilly. Just a stroll from the Ritz and Fortnum and Mason. It is in the Courtyard of St. James Church. Only certain days. http://piccadilly-market.co.uk/food-at-piccadilly-market/
