Can onboard credit be used toward DSC?

If I purchase an onboard credit certificate through the ncl site, can it be used toward the daily service charges?

 

I think I read somewhere that OBC from travel agents cannot be used this way, but wasn't sure if that applied to obc that I purchase myself.

Yes. But you could also simply prepay the DSC through the NCL site and that way you wouldn't have to worry about it.

Refundable OBC can be used for DEC.

If you prepay the DSC it might be cheaper than paying on board. If you booked your cruise before the last time the DSC was increased you will only pay the earlier daily cost. Check with NCL or look in "My NCL" to check the rate.
