PSU Posted March 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Usually the last day you wait in the concierge lounge and the concierge takes you off the ship in a special elevator bypassing the lines. parrotfeathers Posted March 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2016 On Indy the concierge will escort you out and put you at the front of the line. Last year the concierge took us all the way to customs and put us ahead of everyone. I haven't had enough coffee to remember the ship.
mcchane1 Posted March 6, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Thanks for the replies. Do you have to be in the concierge lounge super early? I'm an early morning person but the rest of my family isn't, if we show up in the lounge at 7:30-8 or so, will they walk us of then?

On Indy for example they had 2 times, other ships could vary.

CAT GIRL Posted March 6, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 6, 2016 No worries, Raj will work with you. He will probably ask what time you want to be off the ship and then tell you what time to meet him in the lounge. He takes care of everything.
jamesr3939 Posted March 6, 2016 #9 Share Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) As I recall on the Oasis we had two times to meet there. I think the earliest was around 8 or 8:30 and then maybe around 9:30 - 10:00. As stated the concierge will take you as a group to an express elevator and walk you to the Customs area. We were told there was a suite guest only line to the far right side. I looked for it, but didn't see it. I then saw some people having a rather heated discussion with a security guard standing there. There were some supervisory types obviously coming and going from the exit. This went on for about five minutes then I noticed people being allowed to go out that gate. I heard later that was the suite guest line, but nobody told the guard and he thought it was only for handicap. Again, a nice perk for being in a suite. It probably saved us at least 15-20 minutes getting out of the terminal. Edited March 6, 2016 by jamesr3939
ali3pt14 Posted March 6, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 6, 2016 I apologize in advance to hijacking this post, but does anyone know if a junior suite guest on Adventure of the Seas gets priority disembarking too? I'm on a waiting list for a grand suite. :(

Its a suite in name only really...... sorry. Edited March 6, 2016 by Dlanco
campbell51 Posted March 6, 2016 #13 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Just back from cruising on Independence and Allure two very different experiences when disembarking the ship. On Independence Raj asked us what time we wanted to leave the ship we met him in the Concierge Lounge and he escorted us off the ship and all the way to customs. Disembarking Allure was a very different experience you could have a light breakfast in Coastal Kitchen and then leave the ship when you wanted to but everyone had to make their own way off the ship. The Concierges Dexter and Ana said they were no longer allowed to escort suite guests of the ship something to do with a problem at customs on a previous cruise. We were on oasis in September and were escorted off without a problem. It was a nice perk.i would definitely mention it on your survey Edited March 7, 2016 by irishgal432

If not, we do have Global Entery and will be using luggage valet, so it will be somewhat faster than a regular departure.

I was just on the Seranade in Ft. lauderdale 2 weeks ago and the Global Entry Kiosk was not set up. I walked off at 7:30 so maybe they set it up later? nu_cruzer1 Posted March 7, 2016 #19 Share Posted March 7, 2016 Can someone clarify what the suite perk of priority departure is? I am wondering how it differs from the new Star Class perk of being escorted off the ship? Is priority departure just allowing suite guests to get off the ship first? Thanks in advance. Suite line is to the right after you disembark ship before you get to escalator. Then after you go down escalator go to the left where suite luggage is located and you will be in front of line! Nice perk!
