Suite guests and disembarking

Recommended Posts

Usually the last day you wait in the concierge lounge and the concierge takes you off the ship in a special elevator bypassing the lines.

Do suite guests get priority disembarking and if so how does it work?

We will be in a RFS on IoS out of FLL

Thanks for the replies.

Do you have to be in the concierge lounge super early? I'm an early morning person but the rest of my family isn't, if we show up in the lounge at 7:30-8 or so, will they walk us of then?

Check with the concereige and they will inform you the time. On Indy for example they had 2 times, other ships could vary.

As I recall on the Oasis we had two times to meet there. I think the earliest was around 8 or 8:30 and then maybe around 9:30 - 10:00.

As stated the concierge will take you as a group to an express elevator and walk you to the Customs area.

We were told there was a suite guest only line to the far right side. I looked for it, but didn't see it. I then saw some people having a rather heated discussion with a security guard standing there.

There were some supervisory types obviously coming and going from the exit. This went on for about five minutes then I noticed people being allowed to go out that gate.

I heard later that was the suite guest line, but nobody told the guard and he thought it was only for handicap.

Again, a nice perk for being in a suite. It probably saved us at least 15-20 minutes getting out of the terminal.

I apologize in advance to hijacking this post, but does anyone know if a junior suite guest on Adventure of the Seas gets priority disembarking too? I'm on a waiting list for a grand suite. :(

Nope, while its called a "Junior Suite" they don't really treat it like a suite per se when it comes to this and most other suite type amenities or perks. Its a suite in name only really...... sorry.

Just back from cruising on Independence and Allure two very different experiences when disembarking the ship.

On Independence Raj asked us what time we wanted to leave the ship we met him in the Concierge Lounge and he escorted us off the ship and all the way to customs.

Disembarking Allure was a very different experience you could have a light breakfast in Coastal Kitchen and then leave the ship when you wanted to but everyone had to make their own way off the ship.

The Concierges Dexter and Ana said they were no longer allowed to escort suite guests of the ship something to do with a problem at customs on a previous cruise.

This is so disappointing. We were on oasis in September and were escorted off without a problem. It was a nice perk.i would definitely mention it on your survey

I have to agree with you on this. We sail next week on Allure so hopefully disembarking will be expedited when we leave 2 weeks later. If not, we do have Global Entery and will be using luggage valet, so it will be somewhat faster than a regular departure.

I was just on the Seranade in Ft. lauderdale 2 weeks ago and the Global Entry Kiosk was not set up. I walked off at 7:30 so maybe they set it up later?

Can someone clarify what the suite perk of priority departure is? I am wondering how it differs from the new Star Class perk of being escorted off the ship? Is priority departure just allowing suite guests to get off the ship first? Thanks in advance.

Just off the Allure a week ago. Suite line is to the right after you disembark ship before you get to escalator. Then after you go down escalator go to the left where suite luggage is located and you will be in front of line! Nice perk!

Can you please come back and report your experience. We are sailing may and may need to adjust our flight times.
