Alamo, National, Enterprise, Dollar, and Thifty provide free shuttle service from the Rental Car Center located directly across from Miami International Airport to the Port Of Miami. The ride takes approximately fifteen minutes.

We would like to rent from Enterprise in Atlanta Ga and drop off the next day at the Enterprise at Miami Airport prior to boarding the ship. Is this possible?

Have you contacted Enterprise? You may need to use the airport location at both ends as opposed to a local Enterprise location.

You definitely need to contact the renting office to see if you can drop a car off in another city, let alone another state. There may be a drop charge for this and you can't just show up in another city without permission and documentation. :) Just a heads up.

All the major rental car websites allow you to specify the pick-up and drop-off locations. Try the Port of Miami as a drop-off location.

It's certainly possible. Some rental car companies will charge you an added fee for a "one way" rental (one that you do not return to the same place you rented from).

As mentioned elsewhere, it's very easy to get from the Miami airport to the port. At the very worst (if the rental car company won't shuttle you), you return the car, get the train back to the terminal, and get a taxi to the port.

NOOOOOO!!!! There are no rental car offices at POM. Best bet is MIA airport; if that does not work explore downtown Miami locations as an option or another agency.

There is a number of rental car places within a few miles of the POM. We used Dollar two years ago and it was just a $8 cab from there to drop us at boat. Enterprise has a location a few miles from the Port and also has a desk in one of the big hotels right there also.

Enterprise has 2 locations near POM. One is on Bayshore Drive at the Double Tree. I believe they have a shuttle or the Double tree has a shuttle to POM. The other is on 2nd Avenue near the Convention Center. Not sure if they have a shuttle but it's a short taxi ride.

In Florida, there are no one way drop off charges for Florida rentals but you'll need to inquire about Georgia rentals. I do know that a lot of Enterprise rentals in Tallahassee have other state tags on them.
