Cozumel in the Rain

HELP!!!! We had plans to go to Mr. Sanchos on Monday when we dock in Cozumel but I just checked the weather and there is a 50% chance of rain most of the day. Do I cancel our reservations and if so WHAT DO WE DO IN THE RAIN? :eek:

Unless there is a big storm - which means your ship would likely not stop in Coz - I've never seen it rain for long. A quick afternoon shower is most likely. I would not cancel my plans.

 

If it does rain jump into the pool and stay at the swim-up bar -- you are already wet so who cares about a little rain!

I've never been to Coz when it rained all day-usually showers off and on is the worst I've encountered.

Worst thing that a cruiser from the mainland can do is look at there weather forecast in the Caribbean. If you don't understand the way it works in the islands you are sure to disappoint yourself.

We went last summer with a 60% chance of rain. It was cloudy, but upper 80s. It was a great day!!

Wouldn't you be choked if you did cancel and it turned out to be a beautiful day? Goodness - just keep the reservation and enjoy yourselves. :)

We have experienced some very heavy tropical down pours on Cozumel but it's warm, the rain is warm and it's a whole lot better than sitting in your stateroom wondering what you have missed.....go and enjoy.
