ideas for port stop in Corfu??

We will have a port stop in Corfu in Sept. 2016 but not finding any posts about this port. Anyone know anything about Corfu......what to see and do during a 5 1/2 hr. stop there? Any suggestions or information would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I suggest you post this on the Greece forum and also doing a search on that forum will bring up plenty of information about Corfu :)

Corfu is a beautiful island. You can walk from the ship into Corfu town where there are shops and bars. There are some lovely beaches on Corfu but not near the town, the nearest is probably Glyfada which is about an hours drive. The best beaches are in the north west at San Stefanos and Arilas. You may want to take a taxi trip around the island.

What tour company did you use?

We have used Corfu Taxi Tours and found them excellent. If Spiros is booked he will put you with another English speaking driver.
