Photo package

I booked a cruise for Sept 2016 where i got the Free at sea perks of arcade credit and the photos package. My question is how do these work on board? The $50 arcade credit, is it a card or just on our bill and we have to monitor the amount spent?

Also, it said i would get 50 photos but when i checked on MYNCL, it only says the arcade offer? How does that work?

Some perks don't show up on My NCL. You should ask them for your amenities confirmation, everything should be listed there for everyone in your cabin.

So far I don't think anyone has come back to report exactly how the arcade credit works. Within a few weeks should start hearing the first complaints… ;) The arcade games work by swiping your keycard. There is no ticket system like for the casino machines, so they can't give you the $50 credit in that form. It's up to you to keep track of how much you spend. Hopefully they will let guests 1 & 2 combine their credits, and ideally they would let everyone in the cabin use the credit, but we'll see about that.

My TA sent a confirmation email of all of the promos that he received from NCL. I am interested to see if you could use the arcade promo in the casino but I doubt it. Yep, FranknBeans that would be nice. :) My DH and DBIL are traveling together (72,78) are traveling together and I think the casino would be great for them. However my DH said they would enjoy playing the games in the arcade too.

We had a photo package. We got our picture taken almost every time we saw a photographer. We sorted the pictures in the file and on the MORNING of the last full day we bought them. If you wait until the evening the place will be packed.

We also bought the thumb drive with the pictures on it for an additional $20. We were able to pick it up that evening. A separate table was set up so we didn't have to wait in line to pick up the thumb drive. The thumb drive is in the shape of a ship with a clip to put it on your key chain, kind of fun.

The bigger question is can you use it in the casino rather than the arcade.
There's no question about that. The terms clearly exclude the casino: "Arcade credit is applicable for use in the arcade and O'Sheehans amusement only."

Duplicate prints are not included in this offer. All guests in the stateroom are eligible for free photos, with a maximum of 50 total prints per stateroom.

Photos can only be redeemed in one transaction by the first guest on the reservation.

Photo sizes included are 6"x8" and/or 8"x10"

Only standard photos are available for this offer.

Stock photos, canvas prints, and metal prints are not included in this offer.

Can this thumb drive be bought on its own without the photos for $20, was it possible to get 50 photos with the no duplicates rule? We are on a 5 day cruise.

No, you can't get the USB drive on its own. Not quite sure I understand the rest of your question.

So can you use the arcade credit for osheeans bowling/billiards/darts/? And if the arcade credit was $100 why did I only get $50? I booked today so I was supposed to get both promotion the pick two plus arcade and drink package. Does anybody have the old promo terms and conditions. And on my NCL I see my drink and dinning package and 50 arcade but not the picture package? Does it show up on there

It's $50 for you and $50 for the other main guest on the reservation, $100 total for the stateroom.

Others have reported that the photo perk doesn't show up on My NCL. You should ask for your amenities confirmation from NCL if you want proof of all booking perks.

The arcade promo says $50 arcade but at the right it does say number of guests 2.

So does it work for bowling??? That is the only arcade game other than DDR that even interest my daughter and I. The booking paperwork i have from my TA does mention the photo package. The rest of my convoluted post was wondering if i would even have 50 photos to choose from on a 5 day cruise. The reason i ask is that i am in an inside cabin. The new promo that started May 20 offers one perk in an inside but now includes the beverage package. My DD is 19 so would have to get the soda package instead. Does that include smoothies and mocktails or strictly soda?

Strictly soda.

On other threads people have reported that you can still get the arcade and photo perks even if you book (or rebook) under the current promotion. But you have to ask NCL or your TA to do it.

I also accepted this promotion.

Here are the things I learned before accepting:

1. The credit can be used for the arcade and O'Sheehan's amusement items, including bowling.

2. The credit is $50 each to the first 2 guests in the cabin so if Mom and Dad are #1 and #2 and you let the kids swipe their own cards for the arcade, you will be charged for that, the arcade credit will not cover those swipes.

3. It is an arcade credit, not a casino credit or a blanket $100 OBC

4. Photo package is as stated up to 50 unique photo prints of either 6x8 or 8x10. I intend to try to get several shots, maybe switch positions so the photo is unique. The cost of the 30-35 photo package is $249 so I'm not going to sweat not getting full value if we don't walk away with 50 photos.

5. I have received an amenity confirmation that shows both the photo and arcade promotions. Myncl only shows the $50 arcade credit for (2), not the photo package.

Thanks for all the info. I think ill stay with this promo rather than rebook for the drinks one. We planned on bowling and taking lots of pictures. We will disembark in our home town port just to get photos lol. What type of games does OSheehan have??

There are no games in O'Sheehans on the Pearl. Bowling on the Pearl is in the funky Bliss lounge and can add up quickly. You will want to check with NCL to see if the arcade credit applies to bowling there or not.

I am watching this pacific coastal cruise and will likely book as it gets closer, but am I reading your post right that you plan to make it a one night cruise and disembark in Victoria? If so, be sure to get the approvals needed from NCL. I know it matters for the US ports, but I don't know about Canada.

Not disembark!!!! Just get off the ship in Victoria for the photo op and grab anything i forgot at home, have a coffee with my hubby and continue on. I have sailed this before, my very first cruise was on the Pearl, but Astoria was the port rather than Victoria. Only problem was it was too rough to dock there so we had an extra sea day. Hopefully not too rough to dock here. Guess i used the wrong terminology, still a rookie cruiser

Spoke to NCL AND BOWLING IS INCLUDED on the Pearl even thought the bowling alley is not in O'Sheehans. Photo package is attached to the arcade promo so even if its not listed it is there. The promo is PAC (photo arcade)
