Its such a busy day they have had to anchor in the stream

and tender ashore.Usually you can dock at Juneau,

although I think a dock was damaged a short while ago

when a ship hit the wharf. ...

so that may be why they are there.

Makes us appreciate the Sth Pacific where you can sometimes cruise for 10 days and be the only game in town.

We did 34 days last year and I can't recall once when there was another ship in port.

We had over 17,000 passengers on 6 ships embarking and disembarking when docked in Civitavecchia last April
