jagsfan Posted July 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2016 My DD says they turned back to Miami after a death on board. Now doing Key West instead of Costa Maya. So sad for the family or companions of the deceased. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
darktone Posted July 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2016 They are knocking out Costa Maya? I got a call from my mom saying the ship went to Miami because of a sick passenger.

Cyndilou00 Posted July 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2016 Not a death - heart attack but patient is alive in a hospital in Miami thanks to some passengers that performed CPR and the wonderful medical staff on the ship.

SkyMaster Posted July 11, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 11, 2016 Yes, the lovely and talented Mrs. Jones who's aboard "Magic", just called me from Key West to inform me of the situation. I too, want to thank the Captain, and staff aboard this GREAT Carnival ship for making the well being of their passengers number one. ;) Thank God for the folks aboard who performed CPR. jagsfan Posted July 12, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted July 12, 2016 evidently it was leaking, and the dogs smelled it and alerted their handlers. I guess any smell that is out of the ordinary causes problems. With the luggage piled into big bins, it would cause a delay. It was a pretty long one, though, especially for the people who had to leave the terminal with nowhere to go but the 95 plus heat.

gfountain1 Posted July 12, 2016 #13 Share Posted July 12, 2016 Judging from the lot of unhealthy passengers i experience on each cruise, Im surprised this doesn't happen more often.
