Lane1344 Posted July 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Hi, We are going on the Harmony in August for our first cruise ever. Does my other half need to wear a jacket for the formal night. He has a winged collared shirt, bow tie, trousers and dress shoes. He hasn't got a jacket so wanted to know beforehand if he needs a jacket as we don't want to be refused entry to the MDR on formal night. Hope you can offer some advice Thanks

Trixie21 Posted July 31, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) He will be just fine with what you described. We are just home from harmony and there was a big mix of formal and non formal - although most people were at least smartly dressed. You have chosen an amazing ship for your first cruise - enjoy! Thorben-Hendrik Posted July 31, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Hi, we don't want to be refused entry to the MDR on formal night. Hope you can offer some advice Thanks You will not be refused even if you wear Addidas jogging-pants and a T-Shirt - no need to worry theses days anything will do for a formal night in the MDR:D:rolleyes:

cruisegoal100 Posted July 31, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Dining guidelines should be looked at as suggestions on RCCL, not requirements. Simple answer no he will not require a jacket.
Ashland Posted July 31, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 31, 2016 ......except shorts for males (at least on Grandeur)........ If that's true on Grandeur...it's one of the few exceptions nowadays on RCI;)
