Do you NEED a jacket for formal night?

Hi,

We are going on the Harmony in August for our first cruise ever.

Does my other half need to wear a jacket for the formal night. He has a winged collared shirt, bow tie, trousers and dress shoes. He hasn't got a jacket so wanted to know beforehand if he needs a jacket as we don't want to be refused entry to the MDR on formal night.

He will be just fine with what you described. We are just home from harmony and there was a big mix of formal and non formal - although most people were at least smartly dressed. You have chosen an amazing ship for your first cruise - enjoy!

You will not be refused even if you wear Addidas jogging-pants and a T-Shirt

Dining guidelines should be looked at as suggestions on RCCL, not requirements. Simple answer no he will not require a jacket.

If that's true on Grandeur...it's one of the few exceptions nowadays on RCI;)
