Victory Questions

Is there a way to find out what floors of the ship have been upgraded? I didn't know if Carnival releases this information.

We are not going until January, so I am sure a lot more of it will be done by then, and I haven't see a list showing when it will all be completed.

Thanks for any input.

I really don't know if there's a way to see what decks have been completed, however I do find it strange that they would not have done it all at one time, like other ships that have gone to dry dock. But, then again, I'm kind of a newbie.....Perhaps someone else can shed some light on it, just putting in my pennies worth....:D:D

Been on a few ships when upgrades occurred, Destiny to Sunshine being one. It's spontaneous. They may start the modifications on any given deck. You may want to read the reviews on Victory , perhaps you will find the information you are seeking there.

Was on the Aug 25th Victory sailing. Was on the 9th fl. The room was not upgraded.

We are on the 8th floor in a balcony. I wonder if that one will be done by January?

Thanks for the information. How was your cruise?

My cruise was wonderful! Don't pay attention to all the bad reviews. The buffet had really good selections. I never order chicken fingers out. But the chicken fingers and French fries were the best. And be sure to check out the pizza. I didn't find the casino too smokey.

Thank you so much for the info! We always enjoy the pizza, my oldest son is gluten free, so he loves that he can grab a GF pizza when he wants it. My 13 year old could live on chicken fingers and French fries, so that is good for him! The casino on Ecstasy last year was so smoky that my husband passed on it (that might not have been a bad thing!!!), so maybe this time he and the 18 year old can enjoy themselves!!

I'm crusing in 49 days on the Victory and I got an email this am about stateroom beautification for my sailing Oct 20th and boarding time is moved back and wont start till 1:30. I also sailed on deck 7 of the Victory in January 2016 and it had not been updated. The ship had a recent dry dock though because it does have the Alchemy bar...

We'll be on the Victory for the October 9th sailing and we got the notification as well. It states that "Carnival Victory is undergoing a beautification project to enhance our staterooms." I'm a little ticked because we like to board before lunch and just kick back on Lido with a drink!

Yes, this! We live an hour from the port, and my impatient DH is usually ready to board as soon as he can lol. Being a frequent cruiser on another line gets us an early boarding perk, which I knew he'd miss since we decided to give Carnival another try, so I decided to surprise him with FTTF. I suppose it will earn it's price with the possibility of faster luggage and debarkation, but this late arrival thing is going to mess up sail away too,

We will be sailing Oct. 16 but have not seen any letter from Carnival. I have checked spam folder but have nothing. Has anyone sailing on the 16th seen this?

I just received the letter from Carnival and the 16th is not included. I am on the 20th sailing and I live 5 minutes from the port, we always go early...not this time...lol

Thanks, that seems strange but I'm not complaining. have a great cruise.

It's true...I'm going on 10/6 and the letter my travel agent received (and then forwarded to me) yesterday says the affected dates are 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27 which are only the 3-day cruises that leave on Thursdays.

Took a five night cruise on the Victory September 2013 before it's last dry dock. I was impressed with her. By far, the best looking mdr! Airy had that old school art deco glamour. It was impressive. Only clues she was 13 years of age; the ancient CRT TV in my cabin and the woeful air conditioning in my cabin. Though the only air I got was by a box fan, this was a cool inside cabin on the Lido Deck right by the doors to the front entrance to the deck/pool area and near the elevators. Interestingly, though the block of cabins in my area were hot on the other side in the common areas it was meat locker cold the way I like it, This was a handicapped accessible cabin which Lauren snagged for me at the airline employee rate. If it weren't for the sucky a/c this cabin by far would have rated 5 stars! You should be quite happy on the updated Victory. Just hope they fixed the cabin A/C issues. Enjoy!

I wish it was just the 3 nighters...we are booked on the 4 nighter sailing Sept 11, and I got the same email. Oh well, its still a cruise, and I'm on it!
