Walk in for specialty dining?

On our first cruise with NCL in March 2016, my husband upgraded to a suite which came with the UDP (before it was changed to SDP)....we made reservations for each day in our selected restaurants.

We're going again in February 2017 on Sky and I'd love to eat at Cagneys and Teppanyaki's again. Can I just walk in or do I have to call to make reservations? Also is it cheaper to do the 3 SDP or without packages? I don't know what prices are.....

Cagneys is now a la carte so unless you do a 3 or 4 night dining package you will be paying more. A 3 night with tip is around 81.50 and a 4 night is around 99.10. These prices are if you pay ahead of time. You can make reservations 90 days prior and by looking at the diversity on Cagneys menu, you could do 4 nights there and not duplicate any type of entree.

You cannot just walk in to Teppanyaki on the Sky. You can't make reservations, either… The Sky doesn't have Teppanyaki! [emoji14]

I believe they are using the "Tomahawk" menu at Cagney's on the Sky. This should give you an idea of the prices.

I thought Sky had Teppanyaki's, but I'll double check what I was reading.

Sounds like the SDP is the way to go.

Is it ok for us (couple) to order 2 appetizes, 2 salads, and 1 entree and just split the steak? Should be more than enough for us. Thanks

Of course it is - just ask for one extra plate and cutlery for the entree when you order your steak, and then you just split it yourself. As it is a-la-carte it is entirely up to you what you would like to order and pay for.
