Boarding process

Is the boarding process similar to getting on a plane...empty your pockets, take off your belt and walking through a metal detector?

I have looked at GC page and can't find what I am looking for.

 

 

 

We are going to GC in Feb. for the 4th time and are wanting to do something different than the usual snorkel/beach/turtle farm excursions.

 

 

 

Has or does anyone know about renting a jeep for the day here? Is it worth the time and expense? Have we seen all there is to see in GC on the afore mentioned shore excursions?

For the most part similar but not quite as strict. Have never had to take shoes off like for plane.

DW had to remove her sandals a couple of times last cruise since they set off the scanner alarm.

I have never had to take off my shoes/sandals, but I have a pat down every time I board, re-board due to heart device.

Going thru security prior to boarding is similar, but not as stringent, as getting to the gate on a plane. After that, you simply "check in"...just like a hotel.

I'm a little confused too. According to his history, he has been on many cruises. OP....are you sure your question is phrased correctly? Maybe we are misunderstanding what you are asking. :confused:
