Champagne Afternoon tea

Has anyone tried Champagne afternoon tea aboard celebrity? Or the millennium in particular? Is it worth the $25pp? I've also read it is usually only served once per cruise, so likely to book up quick. Is this accurate?

If one has a drinks package a champagne afternoon tea is possible every afternoon in the buffet around 3.30 when the afternoon snacks are brought out. Bubbles is available on a drinks package from the bar. Cost nothing extra.

The champagne in the champagne tea is the Perrier-Jouet which has a price of $22 a glass. You only get one glass of champagne at the tea. Not worth the $25 in my opinion for the tea.

You get afternoon tea in Michael's Club every day from 3 to 4pm if your in a suite. I'm not sure if they served champagne or sparking wine. I just had tea, then a glass of wine.

Yes, only once per cruise.

 

I've had it twice: Once in Murano on Eclipse; and once in Ocean Liners on Constellation. It is certainly worth it for the experience (small string ensemble playing in the corner), even if not for the food and drink (and ordinarily I don't drink tea).

 

It is a far superior offering to that on QM2 but still behind Reid's Hotel in Madeira.

Thanks for all the advice and suggestions. We do have the premium drinks package, but are not in a suite. Im a big fan of afternoon tea so I think we will splash out and try it, have tried a few afternoon teas in buffets and have been Abit disappointed..

My friends and I go out to tea at least once a month. The prices range from $35.00 up to $75.00 per person. Celebrity's $25.00 fee is a steal and is definitely worth the money.

Another vote. I think it is a very nice experience. I have been three times and plan on going again on my October cruise.

Hot savouries, small sweet cakes, open sandwiches, filled rolls (Sliders), scones with jam and cream. All the types of finger food one may expect at a formal "Afternoon tea".
