Desert Cruizers Posted October 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2016 D-1 cabins are roughly 200 sq ft, if the children are small you could manage but would be tight. Have you priced putting the children next to you or across from you in their own cabin .

Shocked91 Posted October 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2016 what are d 1 cabins like on freedom? enough room for 2 adults and 2 children? Was just big enough for 3 but I think 4 would be pushing it.Maybe go for a junior suite.
kruzerci Posted October 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Comfortable for 2. Tight for three. Very, very tight for four. At one time when the kids were young, we did four in an inside cabin on Voyager. I don't know how we did it, but we made it work. We escalated up to a D1, and then JS, and then a Royal Family Suite. A JS was still a little right for four, but we vowed never to do anything under a JS for 3 or more in a cabin. It's a vacation, you don't want to be overcrowded and getting on each others nerves! S.A.M.J.R. Posted October 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Depends on the age/size of the kids. Two toddlers? Sure. Two teenagers? Too tight.
Desert Cruizers Posted October 28, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Our adult daughter joined us in our JS last Oct and it was fine, except the hide bed, it slopped to the bottom and we had to ask for an extra mattress for her. She would have been more comfortable sleeping with a mattress on the floor. Some D-1 have a pullman so need to check.
akcruz Posted October 28, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Is it doable absolutely. It will be tight and you will need to pack light and store things carefully. If this is what is in your budget you can make it work. We did 4 in an inside when our kids were small. By the time the oldest was a teenager we put them in their own cabin. We have had our youngest with us on his own and for that we did a JS. If $$ are not a big concern look at some other options, however if they are don't sweat it you will be on vacation with family and you will make it work. ATC cruiser Posted October 28, 2016 #9 Share Posted October 28, 2016 When you price it out, it's really not that much more expensive to get 2 cabins. The extra bathroom is priceless Sent from my iPad using Forums
