Miami Hotel Recommendations

One night, precruise, flying into MIA, would like a hotel that offers airport shuttle service (unless its an awesome hotel then we could take taxi) would also like free breakfast or an outstanding breakfast (would be willing to pay). Need grocery store close by for bottled water purchase. Clean, updated rooms nothing dated. Open to all suggestions.

I have looked into Hampton Inn on 12th street it has Publix nearby?

That Hampton Inn downtown Brickell is a great choice. Within a short walk to stores and tons of restaurants. Good breakfast included. $10.00 cab to port..less via uber. Join and book on Hilton Honors for discounted rate.

I too would go with the Hampton Inn. Very close to Publix (grocery store) and CVS, includes breakfast and is very close to Mary Brickell Village with lots of restaurants.

Taxi might run $12.00 to $15.00 although not far from the port.

In the Mary Brickell area there are other hotels to consider, including an almost new Homewood Suites.

Closer to the port, some offering rooms with a view of the port -- great view when you wake up the morning of your cruise - consider the Intercontinental, Hyatt, Doubletree and MArriott

There is also the new East Hotel and they are having some great deals and are on LMT. The SLS Hotel is opening this week as well. All in the Brickell area.

I stay at the Doubletree when in Miami on business - some rooms offer a view of the port , and a wonderful pool area. Last minute shopping nearby along with several local dining options (Bin 18 about 2 blocks away offers great tapas and an extensive wine and beer list :D). There is a Marriott next door (the hotels share the parking garage).

Anyone staying in Brickell should check out Brickell Citi Centre which has now opened. Only a few stores have officially opened (Saks Fifth ave, Cole Haan are some) but it's incredible. There will be quite a few restaurants opening soon. An incredible movie theatre and by the spring a 38,000 sq foot Italian food hall. There is a $33 million cooling ribbon over head.

It will be nice place to walk around.

Hampton is an excellent choice. We stayed there pre-cruise. Loved the room, pool and whirlpool. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Publix is around the corner and Bayside Market is about two miles away.

thank you for the information we love Perricones

what suggestion do you have for a nice burger and bar food for the night we get in late and just want a quick bite.

thanks so much

Batch Gastropub is at the bottom of the Hampton Inn Brickell. Their Prime Brisket Burger is excellent.

If you aren't staying at the Hampton Inn there are other places around town.
