Treacher1 Posted November 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2016 Men can wear shorts in any dining venue except Le Bistro - long pants required there. We sailed on NCL years ago when freestyle just started - is this true?

We sailed on NCL years ago when freestyle just started - is this true? What ship? Most ships have one MDR which is a bit more formal than the other MDR. The more formal MDR is usually the aft dining room. No shorts in the evening in that dining room.

Samstress Posted November 21, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 21, 2016 We just got off the Jade. And when making reservation at the Grand Pacific Dining Room we were told both times when making reservations that they have a dress code which I would assume means no shorts. The Alizar (sp?) was the secondary dining room that had a more casual dress code. I would also assume (altho I could be wrong) that this would be fleet wide. Possibly with the exception of the Sky? If I recall correctly, they were pretty lax on the POA as well

$hip$hape Posted November 21, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 21, 2016 On the Escape, the Manhattan Room, which is the most formal of the 3 MDR's does not have a long pants requirement. On this ship it's Le Bistro and Bayamo. A classy side note... As I recall, when we were on the Escape, I overheard a lady telling her "looped" female friend to pull down her short skirt; "People can see your underwear!" Her friend replied, "That's not possible; I'm not wearing any!":p
