Anthem - All Access Tour ?

Hi

I was looking at the cruise planner for our upcoming Anthem cruise and noticed the All Access Tour for $99 and 2 hours.

We were scheduled for the tour last year (also Anthem) but ended up having to cancel. That was $150 and 3 hours.

Has anyone done the shortened tour? Is it worth doing?

Last year on Anthem I did the bridge tour, galley tour, and theater tour. No charge and each was interesting.

If the All Access goes different places or sees different things, we would probably do it, but now that it's shorter I'm wondering what parts were dropped.

Any advice is appreciated

Thank you

Noreen

I have done the 3 hour one on the Ovation. In addition to the galley, bridge and theatre we visited 270, recycling and engineering.

We are considering the Ovation tour, did it include lunch at all? I'm thinking it doesn't, but ask as we just cruised on Celebrity Solstice and for roughly same price you did a similar behind the scenes tour and it ended with lunch in a speciality restaurant, Muranos.

Sure the Ovation tour will be interesting but seems pricey in comparison.

Cheers!

Dear Robyn,

Thank you for your email.

This is to inform you that the All Access ship Tour is 2 hours long. Below

its description;

Get a behind-the-scenes look at what we do to create your best vacation

ever. Join your friendly guide for an exclusive narrated tour onboard your

ship. Start off in the dining room, where you’ll find out what our crew

does to get ready for every meal, plus try to set up a table yourself. Do

you know where to place the water glass or soup spoon?

Walk through the main galley to see how our delicious dishes are prepared,

plus take a look at the provision area to see all of the ingredients we

need to have on hand — it’s a lot! Then step inside the engine control

room, where we monitor the systems used throughout the ship. You’ll also

visit the ship’s vast laundry facilities. See where anything from napkins,

table cloths and sheets to beach towels and the laundry you request gets

cleaned and folded. Plus, you’ll have a chance to stroll the “I-95,” the

long corridor in the crew’s area, named after the longest highway on the

U.S. east coast. Finish with a real treat – a visit to the Bridge for a

tour of the ship’s command center.

Highlights:

• Two-hour All Access tour: See what we do behind the scenes to make

each part of your cruise experience enjoyable.

• Main galley: See how all the delicious cuisine you enjoy is prepped,

cooked and artfully presented.

• The bridge: Tour the ship’s command center, plus visit the engine

control room.

I'll be on Anthem in March. How do you get on the bridge tour? I don't see it in the cruise planner? Do you just wait to see it in the Compass or sign up on Day 1?

The only tour available to all guests is the All-Access tour which includes a bridge tour. If you don't see it in your Cruise Planner, then inquire at Guest Services after you board.

Hi.

The All Access Tour wasn't in the cruise planner until just before Christmas - so just over a month before sailing.

Things showed up periodically. I was able to book 2 of the shows months ago, but one took longer.

The puzzle break room also appeared in the planner to book right before Christmas.

I kept checking every few days until things would show up and be available for booking.

Enjoy your trip

I did the 3-hour all access tour on Anthem in Oct. We viewed the galley, freezers, I-95 corridor, engine/control room (I guess that's what it's called, the laundry area, we walked past the crew eating area and hung out in their bar area while awaiting the okay to continue the tour. We saw backstage in the theatre and finally the bridge. I'm glad I did it once but probably wouldn't spend the money again. I guess you'd have to decide if you want to pay to see the areas you didn't see last time.
