We will be on Breakaway December 15th and we know that Anoop will not be there as concierge. :( We really felt like he took an interest in us and it was much more that just doing his job. Unfortunately for us he is going to the Escape.

What we are really hoping for is that Sandy Boy is back at the Raw Bar. He's on vacation now and he put in to go back. AFAIK he hasn't been assigned a ship yet. Honestly, Sandy is a really big part of making our cruise amazing. He's been on our last few cruises and he's our vacation hero. We'd eat at the Raw Bar at least 3 times on a 7 day vacation and at Ocean Blue at least 2 times. That's 5 meals with Sandy in 7 days. He really needs to go back to Breakaway. Fingers crossed.;p

This thread is 43 pages!

It should be bifurcated by Vessel.

I don't have time to sift through 43 pages!

With things changing so much in terms of staff there is no need to search through 43 pages from the beginning. You are always best to start with the most recent date and work back. Those that were on a particular ship at the beginning of the year are probably somewhere else now and info from March would be outdated and not really worth looking for/at.

But it will be very fluid. so I would be hesitant (but worth the risk) to guarantee this.

Thanks Uniall for the information about MSC and matching the loyalty status. Interesting. Thing is if everyone starts to do it no longer becomes a loyalty scheme :). Any other line match NCL

I know this forum is not quite the right place but it seems to me that. as I have proffered before the NCL. golden age has passed for us and it really was a golden age.

It is now a big corporate S & P 500 and therefore passengers and crew are mere pawns in a profit making machine. do not think of it a family anymore. Whatever you think all they think is profit!! I know for some that will be sad but it is not perception but reality.

Lets see who leaves in the next 12 months!!! I suspect (and I do not know) there will be some big surprises. Look at the last 6 months!!

Interesting as I said sir.

But it is missing a few of NCL best benefits for PP

No laundry.

No free internet

No complimentary wine in restaurant with free meal

However

Thermal spa added

Late checkout - very useful especially with lots of European flights late in the day!

Thanks Uniall once again for your very helpful information.

It might be on here somewhere, but does anyone know the butler and concierge currently on the Pearl? Will be sailing out of NOLA on Dec. 4th in an aft suite.

Hi why does it make a difference which cabin you are in. The butlers change around on a weekly basis so there is no chance (unless you know who is there and specifically request them) of knowing who your butler will be.

As to the concierge - someone else out there may know the answer.

You are right on target. If a favorite butler is aboard, I will ask he be assigned to me. They are assigned to a deck on either port or starboard. (It used to be a deck either forward or aft) This is usually approved as long as his current assignment is on the next deck (above or below). If I'm doing a back to back to back, they'll OK the assignment for the following sailing(s).

As for Concierges, many times I make my bookings of a ship or itinerary around the Hotel Director and or Concierge roster.

I'm delighted I could be of help and you can use the information. :D

I post such info based upon an old Irish adage:

"There are no strangers, just friends I've not yet met." :halo:

Once in a while such posts offend someone and I write it off with another Irish adage:

"For friends, no apology is necessary. For enemies, no apology is good enough."

I read in the fine print that MSC will match perks only one time.

MSC agents inform me the fine print only allows you to REGISTER your status once. Afterwards, you raise your MSC levels only by MSC sailings. But you don't drop down after one cruise. I needed to know if I should wait till May when I go NCL Ambassador or REGISTER now as Platinum Plus. MSC's highest level is BLACK and correlates with Platinum Plus. So I don't need to wait till May.

We did the loyalty match from NCL platinum to MSC black card, and received more benefits from MSC than we usually do from NCL. Casino comp thru URCOMPED and free = free. No charges like NCL has. 22 NCL cruises, and we are very very happy we tried MSC, as it is a great line.

Safe sailing

Was hoping more for the concierge's name, but wanted to see if I recognized the butlers as well.

On the Pearl two weeks ago, the concierge was Yahira. She was fantastic. She Made all the reservations, etc that we asked her to and she followed up on many of them to make sure that everything met our expectations. Our butler was Richard and he was also great. He checked in with us regularly and again all of our requests were met with a smile. We had him serve several meals in the suite. After shore excursions he would have our lunch ready to be served. The other butler in the haven area was JonJon. While he was not our butler, I know he would be great. He was just recently promoted to butler. We had previously met him when he was the valet in the haven and he was exceptional. This staff make the two week cruise and amazing experience. We hope to meet Yahira, Richard and JonJon on future cruises.

We met Yahira on the Spirit in 2013 and we thought she was excellent then. She trained under David Contreras so she told us and therefore that explains how good she was. She had a great tutor. hope to meet her again sometime.
