I love Bruno!

He has always been friendly and helpful for us.

Our worst experience EVER with a concierge was with Bruno, and we were in the Garden Villa! He was so bad we reported him to the hotel director and wrote several bad reviews. I even wrote him a hand written note telling him why were so unhappy with his services.

That said, my friend recently cruised on the Epic and he was her concierge AGAIN, her first cruise after our terrible Bruno cruise. She said he was COMPLETELY different, and so much better this time. In her words, "he redeemed himself". So, I guess we had a bad week with him or maybe his style of concierge just didn't work well in the garden villa.

It is my understanding that one must cruise within every three years to maintain the "match status", otherwise will revert to "earned status".

You confirm my understanding of what I was told. One cruise every three years is a piece of cake.

Adrian is BY FAR my absolute favorite concierge. LOVE HIM!

Aham - Please do not forget David Contreras - he is in the same league in our eyes. But we agree Adrian is superb.

You are both correct. Both Adrian and David are among my top five NCL Concierges. Their delivery of service exceed ten on the "Hospitality Richter Scale."

They differ only in style.

Adrian exudes total competence and control. He listens, makes notes and viola: It is done.

David exudes warmth and charm. He listens, smiles and says "My pleasure" and viola: It is done.

OK, it is settled. I need to sail a ship where David is the concierge. Adrian is easy to find, as he always seems to be the concierge for all of the new ships. Where can we find David?

Yes, yes, yes! You must sail with David.

I think he is on the Breakaway, but please don't quote me or be angry if I am mistaken. :);p

Do you know if this person (woman?) be the concierge through March? Any reviews on her?

Not sure how long she will be on the Pearl. I’ll be Sailing in two weeks and will try to find out. Also, her name is Yahira. That was a typo.

Concierge David Contreras is the son of Beverage Manager Jose Contreras

Papa Jose and I have a pact.

We always tell son David he's the second best concierge in the fleet.

We never tell him who's the best.

Our theory is that keeps David on his toes ....:D:D:D

When I disembarked Epic in March David was embarking. Have heard good things. Maybe next time?

I have never had a bad Concierge. But I have to admit my favorite so far is Hanno.

I have sailed with Yahira as concierge on two occasions. I found her on both occasions to be absolutely fantastic. I would run not walk to be on any ship where she is.

There is an inherent difficulty comparing Concierges from the "old" NCL and the "new". The old NCL gave concierges (and HDs and FBs) much greater Latitude (pun intended) in extra perks and awards. Our all time #1 Concierge Supreme (unnamed) provided comp limo transfer (after Med cruise) from NCL to RCCL ship in Rome to return to U.S. which we booked by internet on board. He arranged by ship phone to have his friend, the RCCL concierge, meet us at the dock, escort us on board (by passing on shore check in) and sit us with the Captain for dinner. Today's NCL would not allow this. But, even if they did, I don't believe anyone would think of doing it because of a New cruise industry zeitgeist.
