We are visiting the following ports, in February, Aruba, Dominican Republic, curaçao and Grand Turk. What I would like to know, what is there to do in the ports of these towns. I think the town is close in Aruba?

Yes..in Aruba, you dock in the center of town....easy walking to shops, restaurants, casinos. Beaches are an easy cab ride.

A guidebook will tell you ALL there is to know about your ports. Libraries have them! That way, you can decide WHAT you want to do...then come back here, and we can help with HOW to do it!

I have that same itinerary for my cruise on the Vista in August! I've been to Grand Turk a bunch of times and the ship docks right at the beautiful beach where there is free lounge chairs, there is also plenty of shopping and a Margaritaville restaurant/bar/pool so this is a very easy port. Don't know much about Aruba, Curacao, and La Romana, but I would recommend going back to the home page of this forum and find the ports of call thread for each location. There should be plenty of reviews and do's/don'ts for each place.

Our favorite thing to do in Grand Turk is to rent a golf cart from Karib and ride all over the island. We go to beaches where nobody else is and swim, then we check out the lighthouse, we stop at a local store on the way back and grab a local fruit flavored soda, stop by Governors beach for a while, then finish up at Jack's Shack with jerk chicken. It's our favorite port!

Thank you! I think you saved my trip to Grand Turk in March on the Eurodam. Was dreading this boring (to me) port. Now I'm getting a golf cart!
