Hair dryer on Jewel

Recommended Posts

Sorry, yet again another hair dryer question. Let me say, I did try to search various ways but did not see any recent comments specific to the Jewel. We are cruising for first time on Royal Carib (so excited!!!) and are there still hair dryers in the cabins on Jewel? Thanks!!

Yes, there are hair dryers on Jewel. They are the kind with the button that needs to be pressed continuously to keep the hair dryer on.

Yes. Hair dryers in all cabins on all RC's ships. It'll be located in the vanity area. If yours is missing, just tell your stateroom attendant or contact maintenance. Just be sure to turn it on and make sure it works as soon as you get into your stateroom. I was once left sitting in my bathrobe with a wet head waiting for my SA to bring me a replacement as the one in the drawer was dead as a door nail!:o

Thanks for the replies and the hints about testing the blow dryer right away. I have very wavy hair and only blow dry a bit of the top and my bangs area (so I am not a total "flat-head"). So for what I need, it should suffice. It is nice to free up the room in my bag. Space is very valuable - we travel only with carry-on's. (DH travelled alot for business and trained us all well.) Thanks to you Royal Carib cruisers!! :)

I always bring my own hair dryer. Depending on your hair thickness , length I find the dryers on board not as powerful as mine. If your hair is short they are probably ok but as mentioned you need to continually press the button to keep it on.

I for one wish they were in the bathroom instead of at the dresser/vanity area.....It would be nice to be able to use it with the door closed while DH sleeps a bit longer in the mornings....I actually bring my own that has an extra long cord but it doesn't quite reach to be able to close the door ...would also be nice if there was a plug in the bathroom too.
