My time dining vs. traditional

What is your opinion on having my time dining vs. traditional? We are set for 5:30 doing but considering changing to my time. There is only two of us so we are requesting a two person table. The idea of my time seems interesting but is there usually a long wait? And do you typically get seated with others?

For a party of two, we have typically experienced little wait time with no reservations. You normally do not get seated with others, unless you request it.

Thank you! I actually just called to change and my time is now full and can't even be put on a wait list. Oh well, I guess we'll see what traditional is all about! On the plus side we won't miss any of our shows :)

You definitely will not wait with traditional dining...your table is waiting for YOU at your assigned time! If you aren't placed at a 2-top, you can ask for that when you board. We like tablemates, so we request a big table, but they do have tables for smaller parties.

If you elect to stay with early traditional dining and only want a table for two you can email RCI at rcldining@rccl.com. Include in your email your names, sail date, reservation number, the ship your cruising on, the dining time you currently have and your request for a table for two. Do this approximately 3 weeks prior to your cruise. We've always been successful doing this in getting a table for two.

What if you're late? We are scheduled for early seating on the Allure and 5:30 is too early. By far. So we will try to change to MTD. If not- can we just show up for 6? Thanks.

If you can't make it at 5:30, it's best to do a specialty restaurant or Windjammer that evening. You mess up the servers and other guests at your table (if any) by not showing up on time to traditional.
