Divina room service

Even in the YC on the Divinia, room service was pretty skimpy. Don't recall anything being at extra charge, and delivery was free. But one just couldn't get much. Room service definitely isn't an MSC high point!

Ok- just found this pic which may help solve the puzzle. According to this, fantastica has free DELIVERY of room service, but the actual food is for a Fee.

I have sailed both the Fantastica and Aurea experiences and there wasn't a delivery fee or a charge for the food items. They do, however, charge a $3.95 delivery fee between 11pm and 6am. I cannot speak for what is charged in the Bella experience as I have never had a Bella cabin.

Nikki, I think you and I are stating the same thing. We both experienced continental breakfast free, but non-continental breakfast items a charge. Goldenbunny is claiming there isn't a charge for anything and the room service is entirely free (no service charge or per item charge). Neither you, nor I, experienced 100% free room service (unless I'm not understanding, which is totally possible).

LOL...... we all know :). It appears you are the ONLY person who has gotten free lunch. The MSC file I posted confirms that in Fantastica you only get free delivery and are supposed to pay for food by the item. Again, MSC is very inconsistent so it doesn't surprise me you didn't get charged, but other people have been charged and MSC docs suggest you are supposed to get charged. Maybe they didn't charge you room service to make up for the international call that was illegally placed on your phone left out in the cabin? :)

I dont know what is on web but all lunch items but pizza are free ,at least on Caribbean cruises. It's always been like this . It may be different in Europe I will find out soon.

We are also used to free room service and tipping on delivery, unless it is the butler delivering it. I am hopeful that on the Divina they would not charge a suite guest for food service, but still waiting on someone to confirm.

Oh my gosh. I just booked last night and *assumed* that by free delivery the FOOD was free. I thought that they might be waving a delivery charge that was used to discourage ordering by folks who then leave and go to the buffet (which happens often on other lines). Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine PAYING for food service items. VERY disappointed if this is the case. :mad:

I have been on the Divina twice, once in a Fantastica balcony and once in an Aurea suite. I never paid for delivery or food. I was on the Divina in December so unless anything changed, all room service cost me was a tip.

We were disappointed in the breakfast selection. One choice was "pastries" - since we did not order I don't know what that consisted of. We like a hot breakfast.
