I got the Captains Club email yesterday talking about the new perks for membership. Although I probably won't use them, I was thinking (always dangerous) what I would like to see added. I would most like to be able to book dining, spa and shore excursion reservations using OBC. I KNOW it's ON BOARD credit, but this is just a wish list and I'm trying to stay within the realm of reality.

I know, I was using it as an example that I wish I could do pre-cruise using OBC. What would you like to see? .

I agree that it would be nice to pre-book stuff online and be able to use onboard credit - after all the money is spent onboard!

 

I would really like to see spa suites on Celebrity that included a hot tub on their balcony.

Were you to cancel your sailing after booking all of the wish list with OBC, forfeit the OBC because of the cancellation?

I can understand why you can not pay with OBC prior to boarding because you haven't earned yet. You earn it when you actually board.

 

There are so many people who change their reservations, even after making these purchases. What a mess to have to restore OBC. Very different process than reversing a charge.

I'd also like to see variety return to the options available for WIFI as well as pricing that is reasonable. The current prices seem like price gouging!. Currently the only option seems to be unlimited at exorbitant prices. In Feb 2016 we had unlimited on a nine day cruise which we booked once on board. It was offered the first day at a discount and with our CC discount we paid $99. In Dec. on Eclipse it was over $275 for a ten day cruise (before our CC discount). In February there were also options for per minute, and packages for one day use or packaged minutes. None of these were offered in Dec. On our upcoming cruise they are also not offered according to the website (which is notoriously wrong I know). The increased cost seems really arbitrary and, as I said before, exorbitant!
