I see Carnival Corp has published the latest shares benefits.

 

The benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2018, and are similar to the previous year.

If you read the fine print on the document, it actually says: "This benefit is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and, cannot beused for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account."

 

That being said, I've never seen where it wasn't used for any balance on our onboard account, so I'm not sure they follow their own rule.
