Airlines Used by Viking?

Hello,

I'm looking at a Viking cruise to the Caribbean. They are currently offering free air. I'm sure Viking looks for the least expensive fares. Do they use "budget" airlines? I don't mind them for short trips but I don't think I'd want to take a 3-4 hour flight on one.

Thank you in advance!

They booked us on Delta through DFW to San Juan. We did upgrade our seats.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Viking Air. How far ahead of your cruise, did you receive your flights information?

Did you upgrade to economy comfort or Business class on the Delta web site once you got your confirmaiton number?

I am hoping they use Delta for my flight MSP to San Juan and my flight from Barcelona to MSP.

I am currently tracking the best Delta flights on these routes for connection times. We will pay the deviation fee for San Juan and fly in two nights ahead of our cruise.

Thinking of doing the post Barcelona extension which saves us the deviaiton fee of $100. pp., includes breakfast and tranfers. It is not that much more than doing our own hotels etc.
