Breakaway to Bermuda w/Haven Live From 6/11-6/18

You need to seriously reconsider your dinner venues! We were on BA in Haven in March - we had 3 SDP (included in fare - and still had them when we upgraded to Haven) and 2 Platinum Plus meals ... ate in specialty 4 dinners and used one SDP for Sushi lunch (open on sea days), and ate in Haven three times.

In a hindsight, if we are to do it again, we'd reduce the specialty to 2-3, increase Sushi (fantastic on BA) to 2-3 and dine in Haven 4-5 times. We are foodies and loved to try different dish each night off menu (that doesn't change, but they do throw in the Special of the Day each night).

It's your first NCL cruise, and I know you want to try all the specialties, however I would suggest against dining in Bermuda and go to Haven restaurant. Which restaurant are you planning in dining one night in Bermuda?

ENJOY!!!

Probably will. Which was you least fav specialty restaurant?

I'm so excited for this review! In September it will be our first Breakaway Haven experience!

The service has been stellar!! You CAN smell smoke in the casino level. I'll keep you posted as to how it is when we eat.

Awesome! Thank you.

Oh a quick question. I heard after you board they bring you to the Haven area and they give you sliders. True? I'm asking because then we don't have to worry about lunch and just start exploring the ship.

mmmm. ... if we were on longer cruises we would attempt to eat in most Specialty restaurants (6 SDP and 2 Plat on longer cruises, but 3 + 2 on week long cruises), but if we could not attempt all, the one we would skip is Moderno.

When EPIC rolled out as a new ship in 2010, Moderno was a brand new concept on that ship. We loved it and went twice (in 2 weeks), and went back each we went on Epic. Other ships followed suit (to have Moderno installed) as they went through their respective dry dock, and the exciting "new" concept went stale. I'm sure a lot of people still enjoy Moderno, but we now don't enjoy going to pig out on many different cuts of much over-salted meat. It's us.

We have been on so many NCL cruises, lol, and we are now finding ourselves going to the dining rooms more and using the SDPs for Sushi or Tapas, and using our 2 Plat in Cagneys and Le Bistro.

It's your first NCL cruise, so please go ahead and try whatever Specialty restaurants you WANT to try!!

The Spec rests. we went to on BA in March (while in Haven) were Le Bistro, Cagneys, Ocean Blue and La Cucina. All very good.

Again, ENJOY!!!

:hearteyes:Any chance of a non-smoking area in Casino? Guess it doesn't really matter, but one can hope!,

The area is all open. I'll take some pics so you can see. That's why smoke leaks out to other areas. It is NZoT bad but we just started sailing.
