Hi there!

Newbie here.. long time lurker! :D;)

I'm booked into the Haven on the Jade in February, the 2 bedroom villa, my first time in the Haven but it's my 4th NCL cruise; and I'm reading up now on a cruise through Europe in October on the Epic (also with a dedicated Haven) but I'm finding some posts that say if you're in a suite you get all of the perks of the Haven? Is that true? The prices are about $1,000-$2,000 difference.. so why wouldn't someone get a Suite over Haven?

Thanks!

On the big ships (Epic, Breakaway, Getaway, Escape), there are only Havens rooms. No Suites.

On the small ships, like the Jade, there are both suites and Havens room. The suites get all the the benefits of the Havens, but do not have access to the [very small] Havens courtyard. Havens and Suites have a dedicated restaurants (Monderno/Cagneys) for Breakfast and Lunch. Both have upgraded amenities in the bathrooms. Both have access to the concierge. Both have butlers. Both will share the Havens check in and both will be escorted on the ship before general boarding. Both will be invited to the Havens officers reception. Both will be invited to any other suites events.

On small ships, we always book a regular suite, not a Havens room.

Yes, on the "away" size ships all Suites have access to the Haven.

On the Jewel class ships, the Haven is very small and only Suites with an "H" designation have access to the Haven. We've been in the Haven on these ships many times and enjoyed the peacefulness of them.

Only you can decide if the Haven is worth the extra cost. We've done both types of suites and enjoyed the Haven very much but we are also fine sailing in a non-Haven suite. Enjoy!

As mentioned, be careful about any discussions about Haven and Suites. Different ships do different things. Jewel class including the Jade,Pearl and Gem have a small Haven area. More of a quiet lounge with small pool.

And, you are either in the 2BR penthouse or 3 BR Villa. The only Villa is the 3BR. If you are in the 2BR, they have those in both the Haven area, and a few others elsewhere.
