cageyeff Posted July 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2017 (edited) I have just came across this article if anyone is interested. I don't know if anyone else has posted it. Apologies if they. Sorry but the link wouldn't work. It states that Independence os will have a refurb April 2018. It will have a trampoline park, escape room, water slides and laser tag. Rare John&LaLa Posted July 14, 2017 #13 Share Posted July 14, 2017 How are the welds on Indy? Where was she built, Finland? Welding only seems to be a problem in France. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Forums mobile app
Clarea Posted July 14, 2017 #14 Share Posted July 14, 2017 Where was she built, Finland? Welding only seems to be a problem in France. Correct, Voyager, Freedom, and the first two Oasis class ships came from Turku, Finland. Radiance and Quantum class came from Germany. Excellent welding from Finland and Germany. Clarea Posted July 14, 2017 #16 Share Posted July 14, 2017 Weren't the Sovereign ships built in France? Yes, same place as the newest Oasis class ships, St. Nazaire. Legend and Splendour were built there too.

Rare DragonOfTheSeas Posted July 14, 2017 #19 Share Posted July 14, 2017 I read that the refurb was in April. However, I do not find any cruise from April 3-May 20. that is a long time. Also, there has to be a TA in that time. Does anyone have any thoughts and seen info in another place?
Biker19 Posted July 14, 2017 #20 Share Posted July 14, 2017 Does anyone have any thoughts and seen info in another place? Of course, have you ever heard of a fairly important issue ever only having one thread on CC?

Markanddonna Posted July 15, 2017 #25 Share Posted July 15, 2017 Dragonoftheseas, that is my big question. They show the transatlantic sailing as sold out and lots of those who booked it bailed because they couldn't get a straight answer from RCL about what was going on. The TA was one with few ports and it was short, maybe 10 days? That ship HAS to make a transatlantic journey before its European sailings in May. I would love to see the itinerary. Will the refurbish be done in Europe or in North America?
