Spursgirl Posted July 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2017 The train is good but the Port Shuttle does not now drop guests at the Port gates. It takes you to the coach station where you can take a bus to the train station. It is four stops and costs €2. Alternatively you could post on your roll call and see if other guests can share a taxi with you if their flights leave at similar times to yours. There are several very reliable taxi companies which many posters on these boards use regularly. Finally Azamara will offer a transfer to the airport but it is the most expensive option

alfredo1 Posted July 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2017 If departing from Fiumincino airport, from memory while the train journey is perhaps the cheapest option it involves a change of train en route which can lengthen the journey time which of course may not be a problem for a later flight time. The pre-booked taxi/limo option is door to door and comfortable, and costs tend to be 100/120 euros. Plenty available online and could give the option of sharing with other passengers and booking while on board. There are also taxis at the port touting for business. Rare uktog Posted July 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2017 we have used this service several times - it works extremely well and is not much more than the cost of the train etc. http://www.romelimousines.com/shuttle-services/ We have always had a shared shuttle, the beauty is they sort out the sharing

TravelBugM Posted July 26, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 26, 2017 We have had excellent experience with Civitavecchia Cab Service. It's a shared service. 69 euro for the 2 of us with luggage. They pick you up right at the port and drop you at your terminal.
