Shuttles to/from POM from FLL - Need Advice Pls.

After 25 years of living in and cruising from Florida, we've now moved to Colorado and are getting organized for our first cruise since moving here.

 

It's so much more complicated than just getting in the car and driving down .... flights and shuttles to consider!

 

We're flying into FLL and doing a one-night pre at the Embassy Suites on 17th St. We sail out of POM. Then we return to Embassy Suites a week later, for a 2-night post. We fly home out of FLL.

 

1) To get from FLL to EMbassy Suites on 17th St: is a cab our best bet or are there any good and similarly priced shuttle services? (We don't use smart phones, so Uber not an option.)

 

2) To get to POM from ES seems quite easy, as we've been looking at all of the usual shuttles, BUT we haven't seen any, for the return POM to Embassy Suites in FLL, that will shuttle us to the hotel, rather than to the FLL airport.

Can anyone recommend a shuttle service that will bring us directly to the hotel?

RideSAS used to pick up at Embassy. Look at his website. If they will return you to FLL, then just take a taxi to the hotel $10 from the airport.

SAS is one of the shuttle companies we've been looking at, and it's fine for the transfer from the FLL hotel to POM. But it seems hard to believe that there isn't a shuttle company who will offer the service, returning from POM, directly to hotels! There are so many people disembarking in POM who are heading to hotels in FLL!

Seems like a wasted opportunity.

 

In any case, we would still appreciate hearing if anyone knows of any of the shuttle cos. who will drop back at hotels, after pick up post cruise at POM.

A few years ago we used QLS to get from POM to FLL and before we stopped at the airport, we dropped some people off at a hotel. You might want to check with them. Our experience was good.

RobKat - They used to be called Quality Limo and we have used them over the past ten years for transportation from Miami to Port. They had shuttle vans then. Always great service.

We always use Jiffy Jeff Transportation for our transfers.

 

They pick up at the hotels in the vicinity of the FLL airport.

 

Great customer service and friendly drivers.

 

Highly recommend.

I'm interested in this as well. Have you tried their service from POM to FLL hotels? Their prices seem very reasonable.

For a few bucks more you can ride on your own schedule with Uber. UberX (appropriate for 2-3 plus bags in a standard passenger car) should be about $40 from FLL area hotels to POM.
