FloridaMommyof3 Posted September 27, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Did another check to see if the free offer was still there, and it is now just for inside cabins. I'm grateful I was able to snag my OV before they took it away. Looks like this offer is working well and cabins are going fast.

Cap'n Ron Posted September 27, 2017 #29 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Maybe it is for Florida residents, but I tried to book one for 4 and the price was $1600 for an inside, so no luck. We would have gone if we could have snagged one for free. Enjoy! Sent from my XT1635-02 using Forums mobile app
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted September 27, 2017 #30 Share Posted September 27, 2017 My pvp called us with the offer Saturday but we had to turn it down, my husband is on a business conference during that time and we are booked on the Oasis in the end of October, so we couldn't take any offer, but I tell you, it hurt saying no thank you lol. You'll be with all of us cruisers that got cancelled because of the damage to PR. We're just happy to be getting on a ship!

Have a great time! I'm sitting at work now after doing the crazy running around and packing last night. Will leave here about 11, pick up my other son and get on the road to Jax by noon to hopefully board no later then 3. I've never boarded that late before, but it's ok. Looking forward to the getaway. They are saying free because you get your fare back in OBC. The cost is actually taxes and port fees, and of course gratuities and what you spend on board. Bee careful getting there to late, parking becomes an issue at some ports when you arrive later. Have a great time. I'm usually the one that likes to get there early and be first on board. Last cruise we had a separate package with Autism on the Seas and after the bridal parties we were the first people on board. Those pesky taxes and port fees!
cruisePLEASE! Posted September 28, 2017 #38 Share Posted September 28, 2017 I just book 10/2 5 day sailing. Never booked a cruise this close to sailing. Crazy but I could not pass up a free cruise. Well tax/port/tips plus what we spend.

Gamecock_Cruiser Posted September 28, 2017 #41 Share Posted September 28, 2017 I have been getting these free offers for over a week on various cruises. Last Wednesday, I found some that was willing to go at last minute, and it was sold out when we went to book. I received a free offer for this cruise besides port fees and taxes. BUT, we are having a surprise 50th birthday party at my house for two people Saturday! The timing is not the greatest for me. I have been VERY DEPRESSED in having to turn down all of these FREE cruises.

FloridaMommyof3 Posted September 28, 2017 Author #43 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Well I hope you have a great time! How dfoes you son handle all the noise and crowds on Carnival? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk He needs a lot of downtime, unfortunately. Our last cruise on Magic was so crowded and loud that he had to take frequent cabin breaks. I had decided that was our last cruise .... but then I got this offer (lol). My other son absolutely LOVES to cruise so he is very excited we are taking this one, although he just turned 18 and can't participate in the kid's club any longer. I'm hoping with the smaller ship and with the stops in Nassau and Freeport ... we will be staying on the ship ... he will have a good time. He loves the 24/7 ice cream! Last cruise he must have had 8 a day. I'm taking him to Peru over the summer. He loves the site seeing kinds of things to do and it will be much quieter. We are very much looking forward to that. Rare Essiesmom Posted September 28, 2017 #44 Share Posted September 28, 2017 She is leaving late because she is arriving late. She is in the St. John's River now. I called Carnival yesterday and asked about the offers. I took the one for Oct. 8 from Port Canaveral. Took an inside. Just nice to be on the ship. With this 'down time' due to Maria, I wonder if they are scrambling hoping to move up her drydock which is scheduled for next Feb. EM

Makes sense as Carnival always seems noisy and crowded. We switched to Princess and like you got this irresistible offer. Our only concern is we had to wait for my DH to get leave approval so by the time we could accept we had to get a cabin alk the way in the back, we usually stay near the middle. Hopefully that will be ok. Well I hope everything goes okay and the experience is good for them. Shows them much outside their normal box. tbjl24 Posted September 28, 2017 #50 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Received this offer on Tuesday night but didn't see it until Wednesday afternoon. After scrambling yesterday to find someone to go with me, my brother and I booked 1 of 2 remaining OV cabins for port fees & taxes only....this morning! Headed up the interstate in the next hour or so from the Tampa Bay area....so excited! Never booked a cruise the same day as sailing. Coincidentally, I booked the Fantasy 24 hours prior to sailing after Matthew caused tons of cancellations last October. Almost one year to the day. Crazy!
