Cruise Month Promo?

I just got the OBC added to my booking for a Sep/18 cruise (Europe). Originally booked the cruise in Jan/17.

the CLIA Cruise month onboard credit started today - up to $400/cabin based on sailing length and cabin category. Valid on "select" 2018 dates, booking window 10/1-10/31, new bookings only. Cannot be applied to existing reservations.

 

Promo details from HAL:

 

Onboard Spending Money offer is based on Promo DP. Onboard Spending Money amounts for cruises 7-9 days: ocean-view and lanai staterooms receive US$25pp ($50 per stateroom), verandahs receive US$50pp (US$100 per stateroom), suites receive US$100pp ($200 per stateroom.) For cruises 10-14 days: ocean-view and lanai staterooms receive US$50pp ($100 per stateroom), verandahs receive US$75pp (US$150 per stateroom), suites receive US$150pp ($300 per stateroom.) For cruises 15+days: ocean-view and lanai staterooms receive US$75pp ($150 per stateroom), verandahs receive US$100 pp (US$200 per stateroom), suites receive US$200 pp ($400 per stateroom.) Last year we received the same OBC for Cruise Month, but also got free "tips" and a $25 pp beverage card. Anything on these?

I called today and had it added to an existing booking and kept Explore 4. Wouldn’t hurt for you to call and try again.

We booked under the Ready Set Sail promo. Since it's not available anymore, that could be why we can't combine with Cruise Month.

 

Maybe I will try and tell our PCC (whiny voice) that others have gotten it, why can't we? :evilsmile:

I'm guessing you would have to re-book which would cause loss of the Ready Set Sail promo but you would gain the Explore4 and the CLIA OBC. I guess you would have to weigh the difference (especially the difference in fare, if any, and any other perk you had) and determine if it is worth it. :)

Yes, it is. I’m booked for August 27th, 2018. It’s the 2week Alaska itinerary on the Zaandam.

Does anyone know if both Explore 4 and the Promo for this month are available on Maasdam cruises "down under"??

I'm guessing you would have to re-book which would cause loss of the Ready Set Sail promo but you would gain the Explore4 and the CLIA OBC. I guess you would have to weigh the difference (especially the difference in fare, if any, and any other perk you had) and determine if it is worth it. :)

We're doing a Caribbean cruise this February, which isn't included in the Explore4 promo. :loudcry: Guess we'll just keep things the way there are now.

The Cruise Month promotion is not only for Explore4 cruises. It also applies to some Caribbean cruises (I know my friend got it for his March 7 Caribbean cruise).

 

So, check the website or call your TA to see it it applies for you.

Just emailed my HAL PCC and the Cruise Month bonus was added to my Alaska cruise in 2018 without rebooking.

I ultimately did get it added. I had to increase my base fare by $100 pp, so spend $200 to get $300. Not what I hoped and I debated if even worth it but without prepaid gratuities this time I know we will use up all our OBC.

Explore 4 was available for my caribbean cruise but we elected not to add it. It was about $600 pp to do so

I just called HAL and got the 'Plan a Cruise Month' promo $50 OBC (balcony room but cruising solo) added to my Explore4 booking for next years Dec cruise. Every little bit helps!

Just to be clear, some sailings are offering Cruise Month and NOT Explore4, so please check it out to be sure.
