This latest offer that has pp services.

Has anyone been able to book a 10 day cruise.

I don't care if you booked one 9 days or less.

I want to know if you have booked a 10 day using this new offer?

TIA

I will be phoning CAS by the end of the week to see if we can get this prepaid service charges perk added to a cruise we already have booked with them (we are before final payment).

It’s an 11 day cruise so will come back and let you know if someone already hasn’t answered by then.

Was this offer directly from Casinos at Sea?

Or is it from a land-based casino? We have had offers from both, and sail on them several times each year but can't quite figure out what what 'pp services' means.

Got the offer in the mail today from CAS.

It was a mailer giving us a complimentary stateroom (not specific to any date, need to pick a cruise and phone to see what cabin we will get). Also will get $100 “onboard spend” and pre-paid service charges (that’s the pp services the OP is referring to).

I'd be real curious, because fine print says cruises between 4-10 days.

My guess is that I will not be successful, but will still try and report back.

Need to find my husband’s readers so I can read the fine print myself. I guess what I really need to do is buy my own readers:D

That's interesting! I wonder what the criteria is for getting that offer. I know they send out mailers that are specific for off-season, but this one sounds better than those. Are they trying to get prior CAS cruisers who haven't booked in awhile?

I'll be watching the mail, but perhaps I'm not in the group they are sending this to.

(I currently have 4 CAS cruises booked and should go from Sapphire to Ruby on our cruise later this month. They may not think they need to entice me back!)

I bet yours is in the mail. We are currently Sapphire usually cruise twice a year.

Sorry but terms are clear 9 days and less only.

CAS’s system will not accept a 10/+ sailing with the comp. it will be rejected when they try to apply it.

Could you direct me to where the terms are clear?

Or says 9 days or less?

The email I received over a week ago says "Valid on sailings 4-10 days only"

The mailer I have says "Valid on sailings 4-10 days only"

So I got a magnifying glass and read the terms and conditions.

It says you have to book by March 8, 2017. I’m guessing that this is a typo as this was several months ago. Must sail by Dec 14, 2018. Some limitations on what you can use your obc towards, and if you upgrade your cabin, you keep the perks of the original cabin comped (this was not the case for us with our last two bookings that we upgraded).

Our 11 day cruise is after Dec 14th. So now I am confident we will not be able to apply this offer. But considering another cruise in Nov. I will be phoning CAS today and report back what I have learned.

Just got off the phone with CAS. The rep, as usual, was very nice. Here’s the scoop.

The must book by March 8, 2017 is a typo - book by March 8th 2018.

They said only valid on sailings 5-9 days - my mailer says 4-10 days. They said they would honor what my mailer said. I specifically asked if it could be applied to longer sailings and as we thought, it could not.

I was looking at a cruise in November - with the offer we were comped an oceanview - I said I was surprised as we are normally comped a minisuite. She explained to me that the value of the offer drops what cabin we are comped. She “took off” the offer - and we were again comped a minisuite. On this sailing the difference between the OV and Minisuite was $200 pp.

So you need to crunch the numbers and see what gives you the best value, and that’s very individual.

Happy sailings!

Thank you deefer.

I'm curious if anyone else has been able to book 10 days.

I was told no more than 9, the 4-10 days was a typo.

Which is weird they'd not want to honor what is written, what's the cost to them?

< 30 bucks?

Deefer- Thank you for sharing these details! Sounds like CAS is trying something a little different with this one. I think I will try calling them later today and see if my already scheduled November cruise is eligible...but I don't want to give up my favorite cabin. Worth a call to ask and try.

OP, if you were denied a longer cruise and it matches what was in your offer, I think you should call back. I'm sure they are getting this question from many. Perhaps ask them to check with their supervisor. They should honor those written terms on length of cruise available, but wonder if that would also cause them to lower the cabin type comped.

Were you able to get the offer applied to your 4 existing cruises. Or was it a one cruise offer? The offer was for pre-paid daily service charges and $100 OBC (but you had to specify Gift Shop, ShoreEx, or Spa).

Two of my cruises are past final payment so I would have only one that appears eligible. (The 4th is on Bliss next year.) I haven't called yet to see if they will allow it for the November cruise since it's good until March 8th. We are leaving for a cruise this week so I might just call and book a new one when we return, then also ask if my November cruise is eligible.

Has anyone else been able to get this applied to an already booked cruise? Will they let you book more than one?
