Does anyone know how much it costs for a taxi from Tahiti airport to Le Meridien hotel

As you probably already know taxis are very expensive in Tahiti. From Faaa airport to the port it's $30, and Le Meridien is at least three times that distance. You might be better off just renting a car at the airport. Wish you well.

They prefer USD rather than local FPX.... many take credit cards... change as little as possible

Hotel website says the taxi fare is around $30. Looks like that fare will take you many places!

thanks for the info the hotel is picking us up and I made reservations for the Friday night show, lots of great reviews for show and seafood buffet

We paid about $20 (2000 francs to be precise) between the port area and airport a couple of weeks ago.

A couple of weeks ago our driver preferred XPF over dollars. We used him for two trips (made arrangements for the second trip when he dropped us off on the first trip).

Why dont you contact the hotel ask if they have a complementary pickup service,and if they can arrange a taxi for you.

We had a day room last year at the Intercontinental they picked us up at the pier. True it was only a 10 minute drive but you never know.
