Snorkel excursion thru Princess question.

Just wondering if anyone had done this excursion thru Princess post hurricanes , and if so how was it? We have 2 kids ages 8 and 15.

Check out the ports of call boards for whichever port you're interested in finding info to see recent reports on snorkeling excursions. The only one we've taken recently was in Bonaire--and that island was not affected by last year's hurricanes.

St Thomas is where that particular excursion is.

One of the stops is Honeymoon Beach, which is located on Water Island across from the Crown Bay pier. Not much to see in the water over there but nice protected beach. Buck Island is about 9 miles off the harbor and is used by many tours. Decent snorkeling, sometimes turtles, but fairly deep bay and crowded. If you want a better excursion that includes snorkelling and an underwater scooter ride check out the BOSS one. Have done it twice and would do it again if possble.

We did this excursion in St. Thomas. Be aware that they make you wear snorkel vests regardless of your experience.

 

Also, this excursion was shared with a Carnival ship. By the end of the day it was pretty much a booze cruise.

We did a private yacht to Honeymoon Beach before the storm and there's a lot of sea urchins and that's about it to see. I think you'd see more by taking a taxi to Sapphire Beach on your own.

We did that excursion in 2016 while on another cruise line.

 

It was very enjoyable, but that was before the hurricanes.
