1025cruise Posted March 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2018 I think the only answer that can be given is "maybe". But also keep in mind, it will probably be "seder like".

lois1112 Posted March 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2018 Is the Royal On 3/30 having a Passover sedar. Has anyone attended one on a previous cruise? Several years ago my sister and I did a cruise during passover.(for the last few days) there was a Rabbi on board and services. It was a very memorable experience. somehow , by luck, we ended up at the Rabbi's dinner table, he and his wife were delightful.

cruzsnooze Posted March 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2018 You can request Matzoh at your table. Are you going to give up all the leavened food which would be very restrictive on a cruise.
caribill Posted March 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2018 Yes, we last experienced a Seder on Princess (not the Royal) two years ago. You had to sign up in advance for it. There was a notice in the Patter to do so. Princess did a first class job for the Seder. A section of the buffet was reserved for the Seder. All the tables had a Seder plate with the appropriate foods on it. There was also Passover wine. There was a Haggadah at every place setting. The menu, including dessert, was 100% proper for Passover. The food was served; it was not a buffet meal. The service was led by a volunteer passenger. At the end of the meal we insisted that the chef involved and his staff come out so we could applaud their work. I can't promise it will be this way on your cruise, but hopefully it will. By the way, Matzoh will be available in the dining rooms and the buffet during Passover, but you will have to ask for it. If your waiter has no idea what you are asking for, speak with a headwaiter.
