Mariner Drydock?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure others can give you more details, but things we're looking forward to are Waterslides, Sky Pad, Flowrider, Laser Tag. If you look at Royal's main page, they list the ship features.

Anyone know what is being done to Mariner in its dry dock this month?

And does Mariner have non-smoking in casino or a non-smoking day?

There may be a non-smoking area in the casino, but it would not be much different than the smoking section.

LuCruise, now I'm confused...did Mariner already have its dry dock & those things like Skypad & flowrider were already added, or is dry dock happening this month?

Dry dock will happen at the end of the current cruise to Barcelona.

Replacing Vintages?

Looks like the Tiki bar is in Vintages spot, right next to the stairway to the casino. They should of kept Vintages and replaced the card room/library spot with the Tiki Bar. It would of been under and next to the forward stairs sitting somewhat like Boleros. With all the 3-4 day cruises they need all the bar space for added revenue.

I guess they figure Vintages does not fit in with the 3/4 day demographic.

Disembarking Mariner this morning and she is off to Dry Dock, for approx 6 weeks I believe. Surprisingly did not encounter any work starting whilst we were sailing. Wonderful cruise, Dubai to Barcelona.

I see the list on the RCL website, I wonder if they are doing in maintenance of the rooms?

From what I hear, Cruise Critic will be sending a photographer on board to do a full photo tour of the ship once it comes out of dry dock. Right now the Mariner section is pretty sparse....https://www.cruisecritic.com/photos/ships/mariner-of-the-seas-274/

for comparison, here is one of its sister ships photo sections...

Once they update the Mariner section, a lot of your questions will be answered.
