Viking river cruises not friendly to groups?

The village of Roissy is an easy walk from the hotel row. It has a number of restaurants that are reasonably priced. We arrived late afternoon for an overnight before catching a morning flight home. It was fine for that.

 

RER B will get you to Notre Dame if you are arriving early in the day and have time to sightsee. We didn't see the Gare, but we weren't looking for it.

That's fine if you are agile. The OP stated that the seniors were not that agile, so I don't think that they are really into taking the train in to Paris.

Particularly not if there are threats of strikes – then what would the group do? Planning for this trip needs to be bullet-proof.

Is there an option for a pre-cruise night (or two) with Viking? That way the transfers are guaranteed.

Yes, but it expensive. Based on the original post and reading into it a bit, OP has already booked the cruise and given a price to the group and is now locked into that price. Unless OP can get the entire group to agree, any additional costs are coming out of his/her pocket.

I read about Supershuttle.fr, which I may book for my small group of 6 between 2 train stations in Paris, from a Paris train station to a Paris hotel, and also from a Paris city-center hotel to CDG. Anyone have comments (pro or con) about Supershuttle in Paris?
