sunhoney64 Posted June 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2018 Does NCL have floats/mats that we can rent for the water in Great Stirrup? I see some in the pictures but no where are they listed in a description or available for rent on the excursion pages. Thanks.

I don't know if they allow you to book them on the ship, but you'll be able to find a map and direction signs to help you navigate your way over to the rentals. I believe they rent for about $20-$25 each for the day, using your room key card to pay.

Quencups Posted June 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2018 We were just there two weeks ago. Yellow float mat rental was 15.00. Snorkel equipment full gear - vest, goggles, flippers and snorkel - 30.00. All rentals charged on room card 😊
emcelh Posted June 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2018 Haven't been to GSC in a few years (going in November) but found it very rocky in the water. Water shoes are recommended.
Windsorontario Posted June 23, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 23, 2018 $15 for the float mats. They will have a bunch of them. No need to worry if you are going to get one or not. Enjoy, it is beautiful!!!
Celebrate3 Posted June 24, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2018 Do they serve lunch or do you need to go back on the ship?
Quencups Posted June 24, 2018 #9 Share Posted June 24, 2018 lunch is served on the island. Its a bbq type lunch and we thought it was very good. Drink package also works on the island.
Rare BirdTravels Posted June 24, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 24, 2018 Do they serve lunch or do you need to go back on the ship? They serve a lovely buffet-style picnic lunch (don't expect fine dining) with BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, tropical fruit, and desserts. At one end of the main beach, there is a also a taco stand. During the 2016 renovations, they improved the covered seating area at the buffet/ And now use real dishes and silverware, and have servers clearing dishes for you. Rare CruisinCrow Posted June 27, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Is the taco stand included or extra charge? What if you have your own snorkel gear. Do you still have to rent a snorkel vest? How much does that cost?

How much does that cost? Taco stand is included. I brought my own gear and snorkeled right from the beach, no charge. There is sort of a natural breakwater so I felt no need for a vest.
