I’ll find it tough to ever cruise again on a ship without the Waterfront. This has been our spot this time around.

I am so looking forward to spending time on The Waterfront on my upcoming Getaway cruise! My plan is to work my way through the drink menus of both the Sunset Bar and Sugarcane Mojito Bar!! :tropical-drink:

About 3 or 4 countries fighting it out...

Looks like they all won! Food looks good(especially those meatballs). Love zucchini and yellow squash too! But I'd change the rice for pasta. We just booked Breakaway for 2019; going back on Getaway in a couple of months! Loving your review!

Recharging in the Garden Cafe, and this boy earned a ship-made cookie...

We’re just having lite snacks, as we have reservations at La Cucina in a couple hours. While seated at our table, a random stranger sits down at a vacant spot at our table. We shared some pleasant light talk, but still a little odd.

Back in the room, and Sue arrives with a Miami Vice...

Need to know, and please baby Jesus I hope the topic of the question won't hijack your review! Has NCL gotten paper straws yet, or are they totally straw free??

Even sweet baby Jesus can’t get a straw on this ship. The barista in the atrium said that they’re still trying to figure something out long term.

OK, just found some paper "smoothie" gauge straws on Amazon to pack so I can enjoy frozen drinks properly next month!

Ok, so I've spotted Lagunitas IPA and Goose Island IPA. Still have Little Sumpin' Sumpin'? Anything else craft or interesting in bottles or cans?

Asking for a friend...

I haven’t seen Sumpin’ Sumpin’ - and am guessing it’s been replaced with the IPA on this ship/itinerary. Beyond that and the Goose Island IPA, it’s the typical NCL cry-town selection.

Taking a ride on the subway.

The government has invested significantly in the system, wanting to relay a sense of lifestyle improvement year after year. Each station is named & themed for the surrounding area. This is Sports Station, named for the surrounding stadiums and ice rink.

The escalator ride to the surface takes 3 1/2 minutes. We’re now back on the bus and heading to our boat ride.

Just arrived at St. Isaac’s Cathedral, whose construction started in 1818. It’s large enough to house 14,000 worshippers.

The solid walls are 15’ thick, and the doors weigh 20 tons...
