Possible Dumb Question about account

If you put cruise cash on your sign and sail, (that is where it goes, right?), will that money get used, say at the casino, before they

charge it to your credit card on file? If there is no cash on your card, then it goes to the credit card?

Thanks!

Don't ut more than you think you will spend...better to have a small bill at the end, rather than LOSING the "prepaid" money you put down. It's not refundable.

Yes. but unfortunately, hopefully fortunate, on a 7 day cruise, it WILL get spent, oh wait, what if we win big? Do I really need to consider that HAAHA

Even if it's not spent just go to the casino download the amount you have to spend in a penny machine spin it once and download it to your sign and sail card. Then walk to the cashier and cash out your moolah

Not true! They will refund you any cash you put on your S&S. Edit for clarification: Cruise Cash, purchased from Carnival, is not the same as putting cash on your account. Cash (money) is refundable. Cruise cash (purchased from Carnival) is not.

They will not refund money from gift cards in cash. They'll refund it via gift cards.

That is why it makes very little sense to buy cruise cash for your own use. Cruise cash makes sense as a gift for someone else's cruise. But for your own use take the cash, put it in an envelope that you will not spend and apply it at guest services to your sign and sail account. It is then fully refundable if you hit it big at the casino or don't end up spending it. And you don't have to play the casino cash out game to get your own money back.

OK...hmmm. I was going to buy cruise cash with my discounted gift cards. Like I said, I have no doubt we will spend it, but your sa ying I can't get it back in cash if I wanted to, at the casino?

I guess I will just put on my account at guest services when we get there to avoid any confusion, I don't know, which is why I

asked the dumb question LOL.

I'm making it complicated it seems, was just avoiding dealing with it on the ship, but no big deal I guess.
