LEESRE Posted September 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2018 Not sure what you would like but I am sure you will have a great time on QV, have sailed on her once and have another cruised booked for October. We have been very impressed. What type of things do you need to know, ie Dining, Drinks, extra spends etc.
Host Hattie Posted September 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2018 When/where are you sailing? One of my favourite things on our last cruise was the deck party but that doesn't help if you are on a winter cruise.
ClanMcLean Posted September 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2018 We love QV :D Never ones to try and fit too much into the day, we just go with the flow.
gillyg Posted September 17, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted September 17, 2018 sorry, I didn't give much away did I?? We have just booked for June 19 Netherlands, Belgium, Guernsey, France. We have booked an oceanview cabin on deck 4 (obstructed) - 4141 I think. We like days to explore the ports/sights. Evenings - dinner/show/cocktails (and very cold sauvignon blanc)!! Craigrlewis Posted September 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2018 Everything! In no particular order: Gin bar Commodore Club - very quiet furing the day if its peace you want (not that the ship is rowdy but this is especially quiet daytime) and on an evening very enjoyable Lectures are usually very good - grab a box for the thrill of siting in one at sea Lunch in the Golden Lion Long walks around the deck - forget many laps equal a mile The library just plain amazing Food at main venues but doughnuts in the commodore club and pastries at the Chart Room Think thats it really So much to do and see its hard to narrow it down! Enjoy

If you like cocktails do check out the various bars, there are different cocktails available in some of them. Particularly good in the Chart Room, Commodore Club and Midships (Gin & Fizz). Lanky Lad Posted September 17, 2018 #8 Share Posted September 17, 2018 A visit to the Queens Room for Afternoon Tea, but also for the dancing at night. The show dance can be worth seeing, these tend to part of the ball.
Underwatr Posted September 17, 2018 #9 Share Posted September 17, 2018 The Golden Lion is more like a pub on QV (and I guess QE) than on QM2. Lower ceilings and a more convivial atmosphere. Just my opinion.
