Edhoff Posted September 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Easy On and Easy Off Cabin Deck 1 - King Bed, Sofa which I assume converted to bed, chair, small table, dress/mirror with pull on bench. Good closet & drawer space, suit cases fit under bed, small fridge & safe, typical ship bathroom. Good size since we only S.S.S.S in the room anyway. S.S.S.S. would be sleep-shower-shave and guess the last one. Comedy Club - Very funny have both regular and pg 18 shows Cruise Director/Asst. Dr E and Benny best we have every had. They did what 5-6 people did on RC, but 100% better. They made this the BEST our of are previous 5 cruise, no of which were on Carnival Casino - Nice size but to smokey Entertainment - Real good, not the corny stuff like we saw on RC Grandeur last month. Lots & Lots of places to sit and relax And of course Sell-Sell-Sell, don't think the spa was very busy, because they were always in the hallway in front of their spa. FOOD Main Dining Room Breakfast once - Steak & eggs real good, wife had eggs benedict would order again. Didn't do lunch Dinner - I'am not a gourmet type, but we did dinner 4 times, only bad meal was a tough cut of prime rib. Could have had a few more choices on main course and deserts. BUFFET -BREAKFAST normal stuff, eggs, bacon, pancakes-waffles, etc. My only complaint was regular line moved from right to left, but the omelette line moved from left to right, which means they would meet. So you had people going both ways, and the condiments were behind the people waiting for omelettes. Coffee, juice was self serve in the middle of buffet area, lots of people trying to balance a plate while pouring juice or coffee. RC already had all juice pre poured so it was just grab and go. LUNCH - good selection or you could go to GUYS for burgers, SANDWICH SHOP for a good selection of made to order sandwiches or chinese which was hit or miss. DINNER - A lot of the same that was in main dining room, but set up was slow moving because the guy carving the meat was also serving items that were at the rear of the buffet which you could't reach, so he had to stop carving, serve and sometimes replace empty items then go back and carve again.(problem solved if you 2-3 working the buffet) First three nights I was told he cut portions so small people had to say more-more-more. One guy said "you think he was paying for it" We ate there a few days and it seemed to get better. Deserts set up more free flowing and I thought were much better than RC. Forgot 24hr Pizza - wife said white was good other complain others were a bit greasy. And Yea and the self service ice cream in dishes or cone was a big hit and Even Worked All The Time.(can you hear me RC) WE HAD A GREAT 7 DAYS, crew was great and other guests even better. Opps one thing i forgot, please place hand sanitizers where people can see and use them, even better have someone dispensing as you walk into dinner areas. RC does this the right way. In ending, YES I WILL BOOK ANOTHER CARNIVAL CRUISE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

pacruise804 Posted October 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2018 We were on this cruise too:) When did you board? I do find Baltimore fairly easy, but there was a long wait between check-in and boarding this time (we were FTTF). I don't think the sofas convert. Our cabin had a sofa and was only listed as sleeps 2. Love the space in the room and we spent lots of time on our balcony too watching the flying fish:cool: The casino was much smokier than I remembered from our previous cruise. That likely varies based on the passenger mix and I thought this cruise seemed fuller than our winter cruise. I agree that Bendy was great - full of energy. Not always my style of entertainer, but no denying that he was working hard. We enjoyed Blue Iguana for breakfasts (huevos rancheros) and sometimes lunch (shrimp taco salads). We had deli once, but it's always such a long wait for a mediocre and too big sandwich. I wish I could get the buffet staff to give small portions. We mostly did buffet for breakfast and lunches though and only one dinner which was all self serve items/pizza. I prefer washing with soap and water vs hand sanitizers and really liked the washing stations before the buffet. MDR had a sanitizer station before you registered with the hostess. I'm sorry you didn't find them easier. Glad you enjoyed your cruise!
