Price increases

So FTTF went up, gratuities are increasing, anyone hear anything about whether the drink packages are going up too?  I'm scared that if I don't decide(and pay for)on Cheers soon, then it will be even more.

We're in a good economy,  people have extra discretionary money and they are spending it. All the cruise lines want a piece of it.

They increased Cheers by $2.00 on January 1st this year. Hopefully they won’t raise the price again until 2020.

If I remember correctly when they did the last increase there was a grace period to go ahead and pay before the price went up. Much like they are doing with the gratuities.

So do you think we will receive an email if that is the case as it was with gratuities?  I never received anything when FTTF went up, I just realized it recently.  Thank goodness I already prepaid all the gratuities.

Everything will keep going up every year until people stop paying.  

 These huge ships eat up a lot of money.  When this bubble bursts it's not going to be nice

Another thing to consider is that inflation is about 3% a year. With inflation, goods and services don't magically cost less. Companies are always having to compete with that. They don't add a 3% increase each year, but increases will never stop as long as there is supply, demand, and inflation. A good economy has also increased demand.

 

I'm not a fan of prepaying things because "it feels like I'm spending less". However, if you've booked a cruise through 2020, I may recommend prepaying because you might ACTUALLY spend less.
