120 to Sail - What Would You Reserve First ?

On this Sunday we will be at the 120 mark for our Getaway cruise . What venues , either food or activities , should we think of reserving ? I guess I'm wondering what "sells out" first ? Our previous Norwegian cruise was booked after the cancellation date so all dining times between 7 and 8:30 were unavailable . Which specialty dining places are the most popular . Finally, I'm assuming there is no charge for cancelling a reservation . True ?

If show times are 7:30 or 10:00/10:30 (performance time is 1hr 15min - 1hr 45min) and restaurants close at 9:30 then I assume dinner will have to be booked prior to the show. Does anyone know how much time is allotted for dinner service when reserving online?    For ex: if booking a 7:30 show and 2 hrs are required for dinner service would I have to book my dinner at 5:30 or will it allow me to book dinner after the early show prior to restaurant closing?

I recommend booking shows and dinner.  In my experience Teppanyaki and Cagneys book fastest, the rest of the specialty dining not as quickly.  Many  of those places will have times available well past embarkation.  You can book those off your television in your cabin.

I always try to book a dinner or show on each sea day so we have something to look forward to after dark.

just my two cents.

Cagney’s, La Bistro and Teppanyaki do book up totally very early, others book up but it depends on the time slot you want.  Usually the early times go pretty fast.

IMHO

We were able to book shows and entertainment on our cruise in Jan, Breakaway 120 days out

I called this morning. There are none available for any of the restaurants. They are still not opened for booking. The PCC can only help if they are open for booking. The phone rep I spoke to verified that they were not yet ready for booking and said : If they are not available today, they definitely will be available tomorrow.  :classic_biggrin:   Do you think he was just trying to get me off the phone?
